Innocence!

Haley may look innocent with those big blue eyes...

But, she's got some bite!

Which Witch?

This is how it goes:

Avery: Mom, guess which dress I'm going to wear.
Mom: Which one?
A: The witch one.
M: Which one?
A: The witch one.
M: Which one?
A: The witch one.
M: Which one?
A: The witch one.
M: Which one?
A: The witch one.
M: Which one?

Then, she thought it was really funny and made it go on and on and on. Oh, 4-year old games! How I love them!!

Avery likes to write her name on her cup. You can see the concentration on her face! She is a perfectionist! She gets that from both sides, so I guess it was inevitable!

Milk!

How to Pour a Glass of Milk:

First, take off the cap.

Second, lift up the carton, get ready pour, and then ask if you can pour it by yourself.
Third, pour, making sure you don't spill it over the top.

Fourth, replace the lid.
Fifth, put the milk back into the fridge.

Sixth, take a big, long, refreshing drink!

Seventh, make sure you get a milk mustache!

(FYI: Yes, that is a broken chair she is sitting on. It keeps breaking, Kev fixes it and then it breaks again. So, he has given up on fixing it! At least until he finishes painting the house, which would be done if not for thunderstorms and tornadoes.)

A Typical Byrd Breakfast

So, this morning, like most mornings, starts out with me and my girls laying in my bed playing around. Then it's breakfast time. Haley with her usual wonderful bed head, covered in yogurt, with a poopy bum. Avery insisting on wearing a dress up, no matter how many times dresses have been shreaded in the washer due to too many washings. This morning it's the chef's hat and apron. None of that sheer fabric that gets wrecked! And no, that's not Avery being cranky. That is her sucking on her cereal. So, just a typical breakfast at the Byrdhouse!

Avery's Birthday

Avery woke up on her birthday and asked when her friends were coming over. Frantic, I said, do you want to go to the zoo? So, off we went, the whole way over me telling Avery about the new butterfly house and how cool it was going to be. It had just opened up the previous Saturday. So, imagine her disappointment when we got to the butterfly house and we realized we weren't allowed to bring in strollers. Now, I may think somedays I am really strong, but carrying Haley (almost 23 pounds by the way), my camera, the diaper bag with my wallet, and leaving the stroller at the door and walking through the butterflies did not appeal to me in the least bit. Avery was such a good sport and told her daddy how she could not even believe that you couldn't bring strollers into the butterfly house. What an awesome, understanding 4-year old I have!!! (And, of course, beautiful!!!)

Haley's Birthday

Luckily, Haley cares nothing about friends or the zoo, so we spent the day running errands. She had a great birthday, since we ended it with a cupcake. (or pupcake as Avery likes to call them. I made the mistake of telling her that's what she called them when she was little and she thought it was funny!) So, as you can see, Haley is a HUGE fan of pupcakes! Kev keeps asking me if there is any food she is not a fan of. Right now, not really!

Painting

We are painting our house. Okay, Kev is painting our house. Avery was so excited to help him. We bought the paint on Wednesday and she kept asking when she could start painting. She kept telling Kev, "please don't paint without me, daddy." She actually was a big helper and was mad at me for wanting her to pose for pictures. "Okay," she said, "this is the last one. I am busy painting."

Party

Avery and Haley had such a fun friend birthday party. It was blasted hot, so everything that I had planned to do outside, which was the entire party, was ruined. So, they pretty much just played. A pretty lame birthday party, but apparently the kids didn't seem to mind. Had I known it was going to be so hot, we would have had a pool party like we did last year.

We got Avery a bike and an umbrella for her birthday. Wouldn't you know it, she loved the $5 umbrella. Next year, she's getting one present~from the dollar store!

Jeep Ride

Haley's new favorite outside activity! And Avery loves to take her for a ride! She really is a great big sister-most of the time!

BDay Party

We had a birthday party the night before we left my parents' house. It was so much fun! Avery has discovered Littlest Pet Shop and thinks they are the funnest things ever! So, she was so excited when she got 8 Littlest Pet Shop animals and a house. We didn't let her open them until we got home, so she was patient in the car, but as soon as we walked in the door, she reminded us of the deal!

This picture pretty much sums up Haley's feeling on the cupcake! She ate her entire cupcake and about half of another one!So, I have been told that I am lacking in the pictures of me on here. There is a very good reason, I am always the one taking the pictures because I hate pictures of myself! Here is a rare one for ya!
