Easter Dresses

People were making fun of me for my selection of Easter dresses this year. I think they are cute and the girls love them! Who says Easter dresses have to be pastel anyway? I think people should know by now that I neither know or care about fashion and do not plan to ever know or care about it!

The girls were pretty naughty, but I got a couple of cute pictures this morning!

Easter Morning!

The girls were really excited for Easter! Yesterday we went and bought them a swingset~which will take Kev awhile to put together. This morning the Easter Bunny hid some eggs and brought them a basket of goodies! Avery was really into finding all the eggs while Haley had to make sure that every egg had some candy in it!
So, now we are in Louisiana. We have been here two weeks and things could be better. It started off with the movers breaking or scratching almost everything we own. It was so bad, they even shoved my wedding dress into a tiny box! You can imagine how wrinkled it is. Then, I ended up at the ER with bronchitis. Apparently my body does not like the humidity here. And people keep telling me it's not even that humid yet! My feet are so swollen NOW, so I can't even imagine when it gets really humid. They told me only one doctor would take me because I was so far along, so I have no idea if he's good or not. And I still am sick and it has no signs of getting better any time soon.

But, for good news. We love our house, even though it's a lot smaller than we are used to. It's at the end of a culdesac~which is awesome for the girls to play! The neighbors are nice and there are two little girls about Avery's age that already come over and ask if Avery can play. She likes school, for the most part, but says it has a lot of rules. She looks really cute in her uniforms and really likes to wear them, especially the skirts. Haley has really taken to wearing dresses and skirts every day and about 5-6 of them every day. She also changes her shoes everytime I turn around. They are both loving being outside every day!

Hopefully my body can finally adjust to the weather and we can get out and find some other good things about this place. There has to be some~people CHOOSE to live here!

Aerials

We are definitely going to miss Aerials gymnastics. Avery had an awesome coach that really knew how to push her to do her best, but still have so much fun. Haley loved going to the open gym they had every Thursday. She talks about missing her gymnastics teacher. Michael and Heather came with us a couple of times and Heather took some great pictures!

Baby Shower

I'm finishing up the pictures from Colorado. A couple of my friends (thank you Bente and Katie) threw me a baby shower before we left. It was so much fun! And I got some adorable boy clothes! My friend Heather took some awesome pictures, especially of the delicious food! (It's all about food right now!! By the way, the calzone pinwheels are to die for!!)

Moving Day

Apparently March came faster than I expected. The movers are coming on Monday to start packing us up for our glorious move to Louisiana. We head out on Friday after they are done. This weekend Kev decided it would be a good idea to watch a show about Shreveport and the surrounding area on A & E. Probably not the best thing for me to watch before moving there. It's called Billy the Exterminator. He starts off saying that Shreveport has the most pest, rodent and insect infestations of anywhere in the country. LOVELY!!! Another episode (I guess we watched a marathon, I don't know) he said that with all these rodents, it's probably not the best place for people to live. REALLY! ARE YOU KIDDING ME!?! This is after we saw him catch and RELEASE alligators, raccoons (I thought the one was rabid), snakes and bats. And kill THOUSANDS of black and brown widows (I didn't even know there was brown widows), mice, rats and these weird wasp things that apparently leave some sort of pheromone on you so the whole tribe can find you and eat you! But, I guess the good news is that I didn't see any cock roaches in the couple of episodes. SERIOUSLY, WHERE IS THE AIR FORCE TAKING US!?!

Dressy Day

They had a dressy day at school and Avery wanted to wear her Easter dress. Yes, I am very well aware that Easter dresses are supposed to be colorful and springy and all that jazz! Since I am not very fashionable, I don't really care. I think it's cute and Avery absolutely loves the leopard print! And of course, Haley had to sport her beautiful Christmas jammies and new flip flops (on the wrong feet, as always). As for the head tilt~not sure why they always have to have a head tilt. I guess it makes them look more beautiful, who knows!
We have not disappeared yet, I just have been slacking on my blog. I love that I can blame everything on pregnancy, so I will blame that. We went sledding a couple of weeks ago up at Woodland Park. They had a ton of fresh powder and it was hard to walk through. At one point, I took a step and sunk~the snow was up to my knee. I'm sure it was a pretty sight~me trying to get out of that! But the girls and the over-grown boy had a blast!!This was right after they hit a limb and everyone did a somersault right onto poor little Haley! We made Avery into a snowwomanKev kept lifting the girls over his head and dropping them into the powder
